FEATHER AND ACANTHUS LEAF CARVED CANNONBALL QUEEN BED

Hard maple bed posts with feather and acanthus leaf carving, executed by a supremely talented but unknown furniture-maker many decades ago. I rescued these posts from a barn clean-out and finished the elements that the original maker had not. Headboard and rails are cherry. Finished with mahogany aniline dye, ruby shellac and wax.
